Because I can’t let this year pass by without creating a Christmas wishlist, here’s this December’s lineup:
1. Inglot Makeup Palettes
While I am nowhere near a makeup expert, makeup has been a source of my happiness lately. It’s always a joy to buy them, to own them, to play with them, and to see how they can transform one’s face as if they had magic. And just recently, when Inglot opened their very first branch in Glorietta 5, I found myself smitten by their palettes! It’s quite silly, though, because what really won me over
initially was their magnetic case. Heehee.
Everytime I look back and trace where my money has gone, only a few purchases really stand out. One of them are my watches. While they are not as easily affordable like clothes and fancy accessories that I can usually buy out of impulse, these actually do last me a long time and become staples in my wardrobe.
And because watches are such worthy investments, I’ve been eyeing at this sparkly watch from Kate Spade for several months now. I actually did ask my mom to get it for me when she was in the States recently. But apparently, you can only get this online. And by the time she looked for it, she didn’t have time to wait for it to be shipped to her place anymore, because she was bound for Manila again in no time. :(
She got me a different watch, though, which I’ve grown to like eventually. :p
Because I find glitter so appealing nowadays, I instantly fell in love with this wallet the first time I saw it! But because I don’t have a need for it yet—thanks to my best wallet ever, this should stay here. On my wishlist! :p
4. Gift Certificates for My Well-Being
There was a time when I barely spent on pampering services. I used to think they were such a waste of money. After all, I had always thought I could do my own nails, even if the actual output would say otherwise (meaning: lagpas lagpas). When attending parties, I would also normally just wing my hair, because as long as I was fresh from shower, I thought my hair seemed good to go. My eyebrows, on the other hand… Well, I just didn’t think there was any solution to my scanty brows besides makeup and so I pretty much just gave up on it… Then I don’t know what happened, really. One day, I tried out Dashing Diva and the rest was history.
To be able to cut down on my salon expenses, having one like this would really help! Plus, it’s so handy and travel-friendly just like the fold-flat iron I bought when I was living on my own earlier this year! :D
By the way, this is available in Pure Beauty (Serendra) for about PHP 1,800. It’s way cheaper online/abroad, though. And probably/hopefully in our local department stores, too!
"Use: Applying, blending or highlighting the eye and face with powder products." Enough said.
I know dry shampoos are only meant for SOS situations but because my hair inevitably grows limp and oily towards the end of the day, they’re more useful to me than for most people. And so far, I’ve only tried Lush’s dry shampoo which comes in baby-powder-like form. Although it’s not a total waste of money, I also am not too impressed. So I did my research and so far, this one from Rene Furterer is the only one that has consistently good reviews. :)
As if two glittery items on this list isn’t enough, I found yet another one to add here! I saw it just yesterday when I had a date with my bestfriend, and if it hadn’t been for her self-control, I probably would’ve swiped my card for it so happily. Haha. It’s also available in gold actually. Both look really stunning. This photo above doesn’t do it justice, I swear.
Because I’m a grown lady now. Hehe.
10. Naked3 Palette
I saw this a few days ago at the NBC Tent bazaar and I instantly fell in love with it. I’ve never felt this way before towards a Naked palette which means that I really like this. I like how it’s rose-themed. It just appeals to me so much! I didn’t buy it at the bazaar, though, because I was cautioned against it as it was being sold at a much cheaper price—at only PHP 1,500, which could mean one thing: that it was only an imitation. :(
11. A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Donald Miller
I’ve been hearing nothing but rave reviews about this book. Actually, even my friend Isa founded a youth empowerment movement called the Better Story Project because of this book’s strong impact. I think it would be awesome if I could start 2014 reading this book, so I, too, would be inspired to write a better story for my life. After all, I am turning 25 in a couple of months, and 25 for me is a big year.
12. iPad Mini with Retina Display or iPad Air
Because December has been much more busy and stressful than I expected, I feel like I deserve a shiny new toy. Also, I keep thinking, maybe this will allow me to accomplish my reading goals at last. Hahaha.
13. Disney Christmas
Lastly, because this is indeed a list full of wishes, I honestly wish I could spend my Christmas in Disneyland. For me, it will always be the most magical place on earth. <3
