BeautEshopping at Beauty Bar

You know those times when the consumerist in you awakens out of nowhere, and in that moment, you just have to immerse yourself in pretty things with not-so-wallet-friendly price tags? I don’t know about you, but that happens to me quite a lot. Sometimes it’s stress but oftentimes it’s pure, unexplainable girly hormones that create such itch! And I can’t help but feel blessed (although at rare times, possibly also cursed) that I work at a place where shops are just a few minutes of walk away.

One of my favorite go-to places during those times would be Beauty Bar. There’s something about the place that just makes me giddy. And the thing is, I don’t always feel the need to buy. Sometimes just entering the store, smelling their air, allowing my fingers to brush against products already do the job. Other times, the prospect of buying new items means enough thrill to me already. And during those ‘other times,’ I can’t help but be grateful that Beauty Bar has relaunched their online shopping site

Now with just a click, I get to excite my mind with potential buys and it also helps me plan what I’ll do with my money on my next store visit. Talk about financial planning, all thanks to Beauty Bar’s e-shopping site! Hehe! (Half-kidding!)

And not only that, last June 19, Beauty Bar also launched their store iPads, where you can easily check all their items! And the beauty in that is, whenever you’re looking for something you can’t find at a particular branch, you can now very easily cross-check those items online and see if they really sell it, and if they do, perhaps you can order it too right there and then. :)

Here are some photos from the event, if you’re wondering how it went:

Taking Back Sunday LIVE at SM City North Edsa Skydome, April 13, 2012

Awesome night! Went with friends Mitz, Denise, and Donna. Favorite parts:

  • Their cover of Straylight Run’s Existentialism on Prom Night ♥
  • Everything from Tell All Your Friends
  • The crowd singing “Why can’t I feel anything from anyone other than you?”
  • The crowd cheering “MAKEDAMNSURE! MAKEDAMNSURE! MAKEDAMNSURE!”

Bizu Patisserie brings Macaron Day to Manila
Bizu Patisserie brings Macaron Day to Manila, coinciding with Paris, New York, Toronto, Budapest and many other Macaron-loving countries around the globe. Bizu Patisserie pioneered these confections of crushed almonds, pastry cream and meringue, which made their mark in the pastry, landscape as one of the premiere and innovative patisseries to watch out for.
French Patisserier Pierre Herme began this tradition seven years ago to raise money and awareness for a chosen foundation. Macaron Day celebrates the pleasure of eating a macaron while raising awareness for a serious cause.
For Macaron Day Manila, Bizu Patisserie is offering each visitor a free macaron. To receive the complimentary macaron, visit any Bizu Patisserie and Bistrofare branch and simply mention you are celebrating Macaron Day Manila.
